WINNING SCRIPT by Joan Purser (attachment here)
It was supposed to be a surprise.
I think we should just call it a day.
How long do you think it’s going to keep raining?
It doesn’t matter. I like it.
Leonardo Da Vinci would be proud.
I can only afford to buy just one. I didn’t bring that much cash.
It figures.
Who keeps this much of anything? What could they possibly need this for?
Weird, that’s exactly what I was thinking.
I hope you don’t think I was rude back there.
Hey, get out of my way! Yeah, I’m talking to you.
It’s just so sad, really.
Everybody dies. They just do.
You should try to get some sleep.
That’s not what your mother said.
And just think it’s only Tuesday.

featuring big cash prizes and a creative edge!
Current prize pool: $3,400 in cash prizes & awards
In 2006, the CFAA hosted it's very first creative challenge for our writers and filmmakers.
It was called 'Creative Interpretations'. It was wildly successful and produced 12 short films that demonstrated
the broad talent of our writing, acting and filmmaking communities in a challenging and exciting way…
Everyone who participated had a blast and our audience totally loved the finished projects -
AND they loved winning CASH PRIZES!!!
SO - we are doing it again!
Introducing Creative Interpretations II - a screenwriting and filmmaking competition with a twist…
Where one prize winning script was chosen from all qualified submissions, and then used by all participating film teams to make a short film! That's right… Each film used the same dialogue in the same order - nothing more - but the filmmakers decided on HOW to use it to tell their own unique story using those words.
